ZenArt ink drawing is a great medium and style that lets you relax and enjoy your creative side!
​This is an artistic journey in which you'll learn an art form that brings countless hours of
mindful awareness and concentrated joy. 

You do not need to know how to draw or be an artist to enjoy this spontaneous,
nonrepresentational form of Art.  Participants leave every workshop with finished works of art
that they can enjoy and be proud of. Learn easy steps for creating specific patterns and
how to combine them for beautiful works of art.  Remember, there are no mistakes in ZenArt and
every stroke of your pen is one more step of your creative journey.

​2-Day Studio Workshop: Pastel Painting Basics
(Basic Line Drawing Tehnique & Painting from Photo References for beginners & intermediate).

Join award winning artist, Brenda L. Ochodnicky for an interactive and relaxed learing experience that lets your creative voice flourish.  This workshop's subject matter is realism and ideal for those who appreciate details.  Think Andrew Weyeth & Rembrandt!  

This workshop is perfect for beginners to advance where participants learn a basic drawing technique that is good for those who think they can't draw and a great tool for those who can draw.  We'll explore basic pastel elements, composition and color theory basics using charcoal, graphite, soft pastel & pastel pencils.  

Participants benefit from instruction and demonstrations on basic pastel elements; and individual instruction & class interactive participation where we learn from each other.
 
Class size is limited to 10 adults. *Student grade supplies provided or you can bring your own. We DO NOT use oil pastels. 

* if you would like to purchase a good starter set of professional grade pastels I recommend the 30 piece set by Rembrandt and a 12-piece set of Stabilo CarboThello pastel pencils, both are available on Amazon.
